However, not all of them, but only those who live in frontline areas. The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted a decision prohibiting the disconnection of electricity and gas during the upcoming heating season.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> Prime Minister Yulia Svirydenko <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/svyrydenkoy\/578\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">announced<\/a> this on Telegram.<\/p>\n<p> She emphasized that the government has instructed relevant bodies to develop plans for a stable winter, taking into account the realities of each front-line region.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;The supply of electricity and gas must be uninterrupted, therefore disconnections for debts accumulated during martial law are unacceptable. The government has issued a corresponding order,&#8221; Svyridenko said.<\/p>\n<p> According to her, the main goal of this decision is to guarantee the uninterrupted operation of the energy infrastructure and protect people from possible disruptions in the midst of cold weather and despite enemy attacks.<\/p>\n<p> Meanwhile, <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/chy-pratsiuvatymut-svitlofory-u-kyievi-pid-chas-blekautiv-vidpovid-kmda\/\">Kyiv has already prepared for possible power outages<\/a> . Some traffic lights have been equipped with modern backup power cabinets that allow them to work even in the event of long blackouts. This decision was made after massive power outages in 2022\u20132023.<\/p>\n<p> Ukraine could face massive strikes on its energy infrastructure again this winter.
