Ukrainian actress and model Svetlana Karabut has landed a role in a new HBO series based on the Harry Potter books.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Ukrainian will reportedly play Professor Septima Vector, Hogwarts’ arithmetic teacher. This subject was one of Hermione Granger’s favorites.<\/p>\n

She has previously appeared in films such as No Time to Die, Solo: A Star Wars Story, and Radley.<\/p>\n

The series’ release date on HBO Max has not yet been announced, but the premiere is expected in 2026.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, HBO announced the start of filming for the Harry Potter series<\/a> in July 2025. However, the creators of the new adaptation may stretch out over decades.<\/p>\n

Plans to reboot the Harry Potter universe were announced in the spring of 2023. The series will consist of seven seasons, corresponding to the number of books. Earlier, HBO released the first stills from the filming of the Harry Potter television series<\/a> . The creators also published a photo of actor Dominic McLaughlin as the title character.<\/p>\n
