Petro Poroshenko celebrates his 60th birthday today. Friends and supporters are congratulating the fifth president on social media.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“His father was truly happy only behind the wheel of a combine harvester. And his son, Petro, was destined to be the driver of a different plow. He became a politician at a time when the country hadn’t yet realized who it was. And this logically led him to a policy of independence and a course toward the EU. “In 2014, I supported Poroshenko for the first time because I saw obvious logic in his actions. And since then, I’ve been a supporter of his political force. And I don’t regret it. I’ve seen the reforms Ukraine needed. I’ve seen breakthroughs where, before Poroshenko, something had always prevented results. I’ve seen Bezvoz \u2013 beyond the doors of Europe \u2013 troops armed with Soviet weapons and dressed in whatever God sends and a volunteer brings. Vienna \u2013 cheap low-cost airlines that came to Ukraine for Poroshenko. I’ve seen many changes for the better. The authorities can’t do anything about it. They used<\/a> to laugh. Now they breathe poison \u2013 from impotence and anger.<\/p>\n

“The President of Victory. The one for whom Ukraine didn’t surrender, but triumphed. The one for whom Ukrainian diplomacy held its head high and didn’t constrain the country. May the Lord grant us strength and health to nurture Ukraine<\/a> , and further service to the people is also a form of prayer!”<\/p>\n

“Thank you for doing the impossible at the beginning of the war. Thank you for doing the impossible now. And thank you for doing it without expecting gratitude. There will be no gratitude; your<\/a> work has been minced, technologically and expertly. But without you, the army would have had a much harder time holding its defense.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, members of parliament from the European Solidarity faction, in honor of the anniversary of the party’s leader and fifth president, Petro Poroshenko, called on everyone to donate to<\/a> the NGO “Delo Hromad” for “Aspirin 2.0” drone detectors for the military. As usual, the Poroshenko Foundation will double the amount raised.<\/p>\n
