Ukrainian defenders achieved significant tactical successes in the Dobropil direction, in particular due to the introduction of reserves from newly formed brigades into battle.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated by<\/a> the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, during a conversation with journalists, Suspilne reports.<\/p>\n

According to the commander-in-chief, Ukrainian troops have cleared or liberated about 360 square kilometers of territory. The success, he said, was made possible thanks to the early preparation of reserves.<\/p>\n

“We managed to staff new brigades, prepare them, and strike. Moreover, we were a week ahead of the enemy. As a result, the Russians had to urgently redeploy their forces,” Syrsky noted.<\/p>\n

In response to the active actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian Federation transferred four brigades and one regiment of marines to the area, which had previously been moved from the Sumy area to the Novopavlivka area. However, instead of attacking, the Russian marines engaged in defensive battles.<\/p>\n

Syrsky stressed that the Russian command was forced to abandon the offensive in the Novopavlovsk direction in order to strengthen defenses in Dobropilske. Despite the transfer of forces, the Russian Federation suffers losses of hundreds of soldiers every day, he stressed.<\/p>\n

“The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroy more than 200 occupiers every day. The enemy will most likely continue to try to compensate for losses at the expense of reserves,” the commander-in-chief said.<\/p>\n

According to Syrsky, Russia planned a serious advance by the fall: capturing the Pokrovskaya agglomeration, reaching the administrative border of the Donetsk region, creating a buffer zone in the Kharkiv and Sumy regions, as well as intensifying actions in the Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kherson regions.<\/p>\n

“The skillful actions of the Ukrainian military, competent command, the implementation of corps reform, and effective work behind enemy lines actually thwarted both the spring and summer campaigns of the Russian Federation,” Syrsky concluded.<\/p>\n
