The construction of the first anti-drone tunnel has been completed in Zaporizhia region. Three more facilities are in the final stage of work. Their readiness already reaches 60%. Such structures should become an additional shield for front-line roads and civilians.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> the head of the Zaporizhzhia OVA Ivan Fedorov, publishing photos and videos from the scene.<\/p>\n

According to him, the construction of anti-drone shelters began in early August, with the main emphasis on areas near the front line and important logistical routes.<\/p>\n

“The main emphasis is on areas near the contact line and key logistical routes. The first tunnel has already been completed, three more are 60% ready. Steel, wire, and mesh structures effectively protect transport and people,” Fedorov noted.<\/p>\n\t

According to him, there have already been cases when enemy FPV drones got entangled in nets. The neutralization was carried out by sappers, which once again confirmed the effectiveness of the new protection.<\/p>\n\t

Anti-drone tunnels work simply: the nets create a physical and visual barrier, which can delay drone operators and cause propellers to get stuck. They are installed over roads, dugout entrances, and even trenches to minimize the risk of direct hits or debris.<\/p>\n

The military emphasizes that this is not universal protection, but an important additional tool that should be scaled up to other areas of the front.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that roads in border communities of Sumy region will be closed with anti-drone nets<\/a> to complicate enemy aerial reconnaissance and protect logistics.<\/p>\n
