Petro Poroshenko congratulated the Action and Solidarity Party (PIS) and President Maia Sandu on their victory in the parliamentary elections in Moldova.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“My sincere congratulations to Moldovan President Maia Sandu on her brilliant campaign, unwavering leadership, and important victory! All of us, both in Ukraine and in the political family of the European People’s Party and the International Democrat Union, followed this challenging electoral process with special attention and great hope,” the European Solidarity leader wrote on social media<\/a> . <\/p>\n

“Too much was at stake this time. Too many challenges needed to be overcome. That’s why it’s especially gratifying that Moldova, the country we all want to see \u2013 free, democratic, and European \u2013 won the election,” Poroshenko wrote.<\/p>\n

“The European choice won. And Russia suffered another defeat. It’s heartening to know that our sister party, Action and Solidarity, secured this victory, so important for Moldova, its people, and all of us. Your victory makes us all stronger! Keep it up, Moldova! Together in the EU!” the party leader wrote.<\/p>\n
