On the morning of Monday, September 29, Russian troops opened fire on a checkpoint in Kherson. The attack killed a 40-year-old police officer, and his 21-year-old colleague suffered a mine-explosive injury and contusion. The injured law enforcement officer was hospitalized.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Russian shelling was reported by<\/a> both the head of the Kherson OVA, Oleksandr Prokudin, and the National Police of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

“This morning, a checkpoint in Kherson came under devastating Russian shelling – a 40-year-old police officer died on the spot. A 21-year-old policeman was also injured and was taken to the hospital with a mine-explosive injury and contusion,” the National Police said in a statement.<\/p>\n

According to<\/a> law enforcement officials, in the Dnipro district of the city, Russians also dropped explosives from a drone on a private house, injuring a 46-year-old man.<\/p>\n

In addition, a local resident was killed during shelling in the same area. His identity is currently being established.<\/p>\n

Near Belyaevka, Russian troops hit a car with an FPV drone, injuring a 58-year-old man.<\/p>\n\t

In addition, two more residents of Belozerka, who had previously been wounded during enemy shelling, needed medical attention.<\/p>\n

Also, as a result of Russian shelling, power grids in Kherson were damaged<\/a> , leaving part of the city without electricity.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, the number of people injured in the Russian shelling of Zaporizhia on September 28 has increased to 49.<\/a> Among the wounded are four children, the youngest child is only 9 years old. Elderly citizens, including an 86-year-old woman, also sought medical attention. <\/p>\n
