Russia attempted to disrupt the elections in Moldova using a variety of technologies: including the piety of the population, the influence of the Russian church, disinformation and discrediting opponents on social media, and direct voter bribery through cryptocurrency.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> on the air of “Pryamoy” by Iryna Gerashchenko, People’s Deputy, co-chair of the “European Solidarity” faction.<\/p>\n

“I worked for two days in an international observation mission. We were impartial, worked very professionally and only recorded the course of election day, the course of voting. It should be noted that in the polling stations that we visited, which were almost 20 villages, there was a very friendly, festive atmosphere, without any violations. I was struck by the fact that in these villages everyone, even the youth and the older generation, did not know the Russian language, which was very inspiring,” Gerashchenko noted.<\/p>\n
