On the night of September 30, a Russian strike drone carried out a targeted strike on a residential building in the village of Chernechchyna, Krasnopilsk community, Sumy region. As a result of the attack by the occupiers, a family – a couple and their two young sons – died. The bodies of all four victims were found under the ruins of the house.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Now it has been revealed that Alena Lesnichenko, who died with her husband and children, was pregnant with twins.<\/p>\n

According to local publication Kordon.Media<\/a> , the family moved to Chernechchyna from Krasnopillya, fleeing shelling, and settled in their parents’ house. The man was 35 years old, and his wife was only 26.<\/p>\n

Village head Oksana Chernova noted that the family traveled the distance in search of a safer shelter.<\/p>\n

“The Lesnichenko family moved to Chernechchyna from Krasnopillya because their house was damaged,” she said.<\/p>\n

Neighbors said that there were still children’s clothes left in the house, which they had washed and left to be prepared for the birth of two more children – but no one would need them anymore.<\/p>\n

“Children’s clothes among the ruins are perhaps the only reminder that life was bustling here, and a family with two sons was waiting for the arrival of two more children,” the publication writes.<\/p>\n\t

The publication also published a photo of Denis and Yegor Lesnichenko, who were killed by Russians. The children died as a result of shelling.<\/p>\n\t

The Russian attack on the Lesnichenko family followed a series of drone strikes on border communities in Sumy Oblast. The Krasnopil community has declared days of mourning on September 30 and October 1. This is a bitter loss not only for the family, but also for the entire community, which honors the memory of the victims of this brutal attack.<\/p>\n
