This would not be \u201cjust another aid package,\u201d but a genuine insurance policy for Europe\u2019s own security.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"51\" data-end=\"147\">I will give just a few arguments why this approach is strategically beneficial for the EU:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"149\" data-end=\"652\">\n<li data-start=\"149\" data-end=\"319\">\n<p data-start=\"151\" data-end=\"319\"><strong data-start=\"151\" data-end=\"201\">Containment is cheaper than crisis management.<\/strong> Every euro spent on the frontline saves dozens at home \u2014 from energy shocks to the cost of insuring business risks.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"320\" data-end=\"460\">\n<p data-start=\"322\" data-end=\"460\"><strong data-start=\"322\" data-end=\"352\">European defense autonomy.<\/strong> 0.25% translates into long-term contracts for air and missile defense, UAVs, ammunition, and repair hubs.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"461\" data-end=\"652\">\n<p data-start=\"463\" data-end=\"652\"><strong data-start=\"463\" data-end=\"509\">Policy for years, not seasonal \u201cpackages.\u201d<\/strong> A fixed contribution eliminates turbulence between governments and election cycles, ensuring stable security for the entire European region.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t<aside class=\"shortcode-also\" data-title=\"Read also\" >\n\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/en\/a-wall-of-drones-for-europe-new-defense-projects-to-be-discussed-in-copenhagen\/\">A wall of drones for Europe: new defense projects to be discussed in Copenhagen<\/a>\n\t<\/aside>\n\n<p data-start=\"157\" data-end=\"315\">The prospect of a joint, integrated European air-defense system \u2014 a true \u201cdrone wall\u201d \u2014 would guarantee protection of the skies over Warsaw, Vilnius, and Kyiv.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"317\" data-end=\"518\">Mass weapons production should not be a stopgap response to individual crises, but a systematic supply of the entire defense sector: stockpiles, formation reserves, and rapid replenishment capabilities.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"520\" data-end=\"648\">Industry vs economy \u2014 for Europe and Ukraine, this means jobs, tax revenue, and a faster, home-grown response to emerging threats.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"650\" data-end=\"809\">I am convinced that 0.25% of GDP would be a boost to every European budget. Locking that contribution in for 3\u20135 years would deliver three concrete outcomes:<\/p>\n<ol data-start=\"810\" data-end=\"930\">\n<li data-start=\"810\" data-end=\"851\">\n<p data-start=\"813\" data-end=\"851\">A reliable shield for the continent.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"852\" data-end=\"900\">\n<p data-start=\"855\" data-end=\"900\">Strengthened national defense capabilities;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"901\" data-end=\"930\">\n<p data-start=\"904\" data-end=\"930\">A robust defense industry.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p data-start=\"932\" data-end=\"1108\">Today, Ukraine is the outpost; tomorrow, every European will reap the benefits.
