Russia is preparing assault attacks on Stepovoe – the occupiers are replenishing the companies with mobilized troops.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated by<\/a> the spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces Vladyslav Voloshyn, commenting on the situation to Ukrinform.<\/p>\n

According to him, in the Orikhov direction, the enemy is forming and staffing assault units at the expense of mobilized Russian servicemen who refused to sign a contract with the Russian army. “According to our intelligence, right now, in the Orikhov direction, the enemy units that are preparing for assaults are being staffed with assault companies,” the publication quotes Voloshin as saying.<\/p>\n

The goal of the Russian offensive, he said, is to break through the defenses and enter the settlement of Stepove, knock out Ukrainian units and gain a foothold on the occupied lines. Voloshyn added that the enemy is pulling personnel and weapons to the front lines, forming groups of approximately five to seven people for assault operations near the settlement.<\/p>\n

He also reported that a few days ago the occupiers used aircraft to attack fortifications and positions in the Stepovoye area. Currently, according to the spokesman, preparatory measures are underway to continue assault operations.<\/p>\n

As reported, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, stated that the Defense Forces have cut off the so-called “Dobropol’skyi salient” of the enemy and are doing everything to inflict maximum losses on the Russian occupiers.<\/a><\/p>\n
