The Russian army is trying to open a new direction on the front in the Zaporizhia region, launching assaults in the direction of the settlement of Stepove.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated<\/span><\/a> in a comment to Ukrinform<\/span> by the spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn.<\/span><\/p>\n

“This morning, the enemy tried to open a new direction – to launch assaults in the direction of the settlement of Stepove,” he explained.<\/span><\/p>\n

Currently, the Russians have concentrated resources near the village of Zherebyanky and are preparing to storm the positions of the Defense Forces in the direction of Lukyanivske.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cToday, there were already two such assaults in the morning on the settlement of Stepove, and in one of such clashes, the enemy even tried to carry out a mass assault on motorcycles, using six vehicles,\u201d Voloshyn noted.<\/span><\/p>\n

Russian military personnel attempted to break into the village on motorcycles and occupy Ukrainian positions. However, the Defense Forces managed to repel the attack, destroying the occupiers and equipment.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was previously reported that Russia is preparing assault attacks on Stepovoe<\/a> – the occupiers are replenishing the companies with mobilized troops.<\/p>\n

By the way, the enemy makes daily attempts to capture Kamianske and Plavni in the Zaporizhia region<\/a> and reach the outskirts of Primorske for a further offensive.<\/p>\n

Let us remind you that the Russian army is making progress on the front: the enemy has taken new positions in the Zaporizhia region<\/a> – near Novoivanivka and in Poltava.<\/p>\n
