On Thursday, October 2, powerful explosions were heard in the Perm region of the Russian Federation. The drones hit the Azot branch of the Uralkhim plant in the city of Berezniki. It is located approximately 1,700 km from the Ukrainian border.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Telegram channel Exilenova+ reported<\/a> on the destruction of the facilities of this enterprise by the occupiers.<\/p>\n

The enterprise is one of the largest producers of nitrogen fertilizers in Russia. It produces ammonia, urea, ammonium nitrate and other products that have a dual purpose – for both agriculture and the production of explosives.<\/p>\n

In 2024, the plant reached record production volumes – over 2.3 million tons of products, so its shutdown will have consequences for both the Russian domestic market and supply chains.<\/p>\n\t

There have been no official comments from the Russian or Ukrainian military or from the company’s management at the time of publication.<\/p>\n\t

As reported, on the night of September 20, drones of the SBU and Special Operations Forces attacked Russian regions, and oil pumping stations of the Kuibyshev-Tikhoretsk oil pipeline were under attack<\/a> .<\/p>\n

Earlier, SBU drones struck the largest Russian oil loading port<\/a> of Primorsk in the Baltic Sea, and oil shipments have now been stopped.<\/p>\n
