In September, Russia attacked Ukraine with about 6,900 drones, of which over 3,600 were Shaheds. Despite the massive shelling, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are deploying additional solutions to strengthen air defense and intercept drones.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was announced by<\/a> the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky.<\/p>\n

According to him, the enemy is constantly changing its tactics for using drones, actively attacking frontline and border areas, with critical infrastructure and residential buildings remaining the main targets.<\/p>\n

“Today, the majority of Russian strike drones are destroyed by such means. The systematic expansion of the staff of the relevant formations is ongoing. The training of specialists is being increased, and additional training facilities are being created for high-quality training,” Syrsky emphasized.<\/p>\n

He clarified that a decision has been made to increase the number of crews of interceptor drones and create a separate Command of Unmanned Air Defense Systems within the Air Force. In parallel, attack helicopters and light aircraft are participating in repelling attacks.<\/p>\n

“Joint work between the Defense Forces and manufacturers continues to improve and introduce new types of interceptor drones. We must accelerate their development and introduction into the troops, because in the conditions of technological competition, the enemy is constantly improving its means,” the Commander-in-Chief concluded.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrsky, stated the need to develop new solutions in the field of unmanned systems<\/a> . The reason is that the enemy is adapting to Ukrainian methods and actively imitating successful technologies.<\/p>\n

Let us remind you that the Russians are intensifying their air strikes on Ukrainian cities, as they are rapidly increasing the production of attack drones.<\/a><\/p>\n

As reported, between 2022 and 2025 , Russia allocated at least $3 billion to develop its own drone industry<\/a> , in particular, kamikaze attack drones of the Shahed type.<\/p>\n
