During a public speech at a meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club, Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin commented on information about unknown drones that were recently spotted near critical infrastructure facilities in Europe, in particular in Denmark.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The comment was made<\/a> in a half-joking manner in response to a remark by the session’s moderator, Fyodor Lukyanov, who ironically asked why Russia “is sending so many drones to Denmark.”<\/p>\n

“I won’t do it anymore,” Putin replied.
\u2014 No more is needed.
“Not to Denmark, not to France, not to Lisbon, not to Copenhagen. Where else do they fly to?”
\u2014 They fly everywhere.<\/p>\n

Putin compared the drone incidents to the old “hysteria” surrounding alleged UFO encounters, saying that now “European youth will launch drones for fun.”<\/p>\n

“Let them catch all this. Seriously, we don’t have drones that can reach Lisbon,” he said. “There are models with a long range, but we don’t see the point in launching them into those regions – there are no military targets there.”<\/p>\n

The bloody dictator also accused Western countries of deliberately exaggerating the threat posed by drones, saying such rhetoric was needed only so that Washington could force Europe to increase defense spending.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, on the evening of October 2 , the appearance of unknown drones was recorded near one of the largest airports in Europe, Munich.<\/a> Due to the threat of an air incident, the airport temporarily suspended operations.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that on the evening of September 25 , Aalborg Airport, located in North Jutland, was temporarily closed due to the recorded presence of unknown drones in its airspace.<\/a><\/p>\n

Additionally, in the Netherlands, a drone sighting near Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport temporarily closed one of its main runways,<\/a> posing a serious threat to flight safety.<\/p>\n

As reported, on the evening of September 30 , an unidentified unmanned aerial vehicle was spotted flying near the airport in the Norwegian city of Br\u00f8nneisund.<\/a><\/p>\n
