On the evening of October 2, Sochi was massively attacked by drones, just as Russian dictator Vladimir Putin was there. The Kremlin leader was speaking at the Valdai Forum.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the publication, the airports in Sochi and neighboring Gelendzhik were closed at around 10:30 p.m. Within half an hour, Sochi Mayor Andrei Proshunin announced a drone attack.<\/p>\n

Reports appeared online about the operation of air defense systems over the sea, sirens and explosions were heard. The attack was also reported by the head of the Sirius federal territory in the Krasnodar Territory, Dmitry Plishkin.<\/p>\n

By this point, Putin had been answering questions at the forum session for about an hour. Officially, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the “successful destruction” of 11 drones over the Black Sea and four more over occupied Crimea after the incident.<\/p>\n

It is worth noting that Ukraine has not officially confirmed the attacks on Sochi.<\/p>\n

As reported, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin made some loud statements at the Valdai Forum on Thursday, October 2.<\/a> He responded to US President Donald Trump’s words that Russia is a “paper tiger”, tried to justify the war against Ukraine and even mentioned Russia’s alleged readiness to join NATO in the past.<\/p>\n

Putin also responded to reports of unidentified drones near infrastructure facilities in Europe, particularly in Denmark<\/a> . His remark came as a half-joke in response to moderator Fyodor Lukyanov’s ironic question about “why Russia is sending so many drones to Denmark.”<\/p>\n

The dictator accused Ukraine of allegedly “shelling” the Zaporizhzhia NPP and threatened to retaliate with strikes on Ukrainian nuclear plants<\/a> .<\/p>\n
