Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha called for a harsh response to the missile and drone strike on Shostka and insisted on the introduction of “new crushing sanctions” against Russia.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He published his call on the social network X.<\/p>\n

Sibiga emphasized that the Russian drone attacks on passenger trains in Shostka were targeted and deliberate, and drew attention to the use of a “double strike” tactic, with the second attack targeting rescuers and evacuees. “Russian terrorists must receive a harsh response for this deliberate and brutal terror against the civilian population,” the minister wrote.<\/p>\n

He emphasized that words are not enough and called on his partners to increase pressure on Moscow through economic and political measures. “We need new, crushing sanctions and a renewed commitment to supporting Ukraine. This can and must be done to raise the cost of this war for Russia. Putin must understand the danger of continuing this war for himself and his regime,” Sybiga added.<\/p>\n

As a reminder,on October 4, Russian troops attacked<\/a> the railway station in the Shostka community of Sumy Oblast.<\/p>\n
