Yuriy Kasyanov, an officer of the State Border Guard Service, an aerial reconnaissance specialist and founder of the Matrix-UAV Design Bureau, reported that the company of strike drones of the 10th mobile detachment of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine is being disbanded against the will of the military. The servicemen are forced to surrender the unit’s property and take out more than 100 drones worth over $1 million.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He wrote about this on Facebook<\/a> .<\/p>\n

According to Kasyanov, the unit handed over weapons and ammunition yesterday.<\/p>\n

“Right now, servicemen from our unit are handing over personal property, official cars, and taking out unmanned aircraft in the open \u2014 over 100 units worth over $1 million,” he wrote.<\/p>\n

Kasyanov also claims that “today or tomorrow they will start sending highly qualified drone operators, programmers, electronics engineers, and analysts to various units of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine for further service as riflemen.” According to him, by the end of the process, the unit had already lost the ability to act as an effective combat unit.<\/p>\n

The officer states that, despite the unit’s combat successes, it was “blocked” for a long time: people were not appointed to positions, ranks were not awarded, financial documents were not signed, and the purchase of components for drones was not financed.<\/p>\n

He noted that in all his service since 1986, he had never seen “a military machine working so quickly,” and called what was happening “horror \u2014 the destruction of an effective combat unit during such a difficult war.”<\/p>\n

Kasyanov denies political motives for his public position.<\/p>\n

“I’m told by my superiors that all this is happening because I ‘got involved in politics.’ It’s not true \u2014 there’s zero politics here. There are personal grievances and personal financial interests. Big money,” the military man said.<\/p>\n

He links the start of the problems to a “hype” headline from an interview a year ago and accuses Fire Point of monopolizing the market.<\/p>\n

The officer also said that for years he had been trying to reach an agreement with the command, representatives of the President’s Office, ministers, and a member of parliament to “unblock” the unit and give it the opportunity to fight fully. According to him, after a year of fruitless attempts, he “began to actively write and speak about our problems.”<\/p>\n

Yuriy Kasyanov made a public request to the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.<\/p>\n

“Stop this nightmare! … We are our own, Ukrainians, we do not need to be liquidated like an enemy unit. Help us, Volodymyr Oleksandrovych!”, he emphasized.<\/p>\n

The report also mentions that Kasyanov previously stated that the successful unit was destroyed “on the orders of Yermak.” <\/p>\n
