Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has warned of a possible “destruction” of relations between Russia and the United States if Washington decides to supply Ukraine with long-range Tomahawk missiles.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is reported by Russian media.<\/p>\n

According to Putin, the transfer of such weapons systems to Kyiv would allegedly be “a step that would destroy positive trends in bilateral relations.” The Russian leader tried to appeal to US President Donald Trump, using the threat of “destroying the dialogue” as an element of political pressure.<\/p>\n

“You talked about the US president. There were issues related to the discussion of the supply of new weapons systems, in particular long-range high-precision systems, these are Tomahawks, etc. I have already said that this will lead to the destruction of our relations. At least, the positive trends that have emerged in our relations,” Putin said.<\/p>\n

This is not the first attempt by the Russian dictator to intimidate Washington after information emerged about the possibility of expanding American military aid to Ukraine. If he previously threatened “a blow to supply logistics” or “unpleasant consequences” for American military facilities, this time he decided to act more softly – through manipulations in the style of diplomatic warnings.<\/p>\n

Thus, Putin is trying to keep the United States from making a decision to transfer long-range Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, capable of hitting targets at a distance of more than 1,500 km. This step, as expected, could significantly strengthen the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression.<\/p>\n

Recall, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during a closed conversation with US President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly , allegedly asked the US for long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles.<\/a> Earlier, US Vice President J.D. Vance reported that discussions are ongoing in Washington regarding the possible supply of high-precision Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine<\/a> , but the final decision on this issue depends on President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

Later, Moscow said it was analyzing reports of possible deliveries of long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine.<\/a> By the way, special representative Keith Kellogg clarified that his words about the possibility of transferring Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine do not reflect Washington’s internal decisions<\/a> . According to him, he was only referring to public statements, and the final decision can only be made by US President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that Ukraine has repeatedly asked the US to transfer long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles, but the White House has not yet agreed.<\/a> In addition, the Kremlin is trying to scare Washington from transferring Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine<\/a> , presenting it as a \u201cdangerous escalation\u201d and trying to influence the West\u2019s position.<\/p>\n
