A four-day search for a family that disappeared on the road to a neighboring village has ended in Poltava Oblast. Law enforcement officers found a sunken car in a reservoir near Stary Sanzhary. Inside were a woman and a small child with no signs of life. Their husband and father are still being sought.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> to the Poltava region police.<\/p>\n

According to law enforcement, on October 2, Ruslan and Olena Gutkevych (born in 1987) and their four-year-old son Ruslan Zvonkov left their home towards the village of Lishchynivka at around 3:00 a.m. Their car was last seen at 3:30 a.m. in Machuchy – after that, contact with the family disappeared.<\/p>\n\t

The search operation lasted several days. Over a hundred police officers, along with dog handlers, combed the area until, on October 6, they found the car in a pond near the village of Stari Sanzhary.<\/p>\n

“The bodies of the deceased were recovered from the water. They have been sent for forensic examination to determine the cause of death. The search for the missing man continues,” the police said.<\/p>\n

Investigators have opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – premeditated murder. Law enforcement officers are considering all possible versions of the tragedy.<\/p>\n

Recall, earlier on the Kyiv funicular , an employee of the State Security Department Artem Kosov pushed 16-year-old Maksym Materukhin<\/a> . The teenager fell onto a glass surface, cut his neck and died before the arrival of doctors. On Monday, September 22, the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv announced the verdict in the case of the murder of the boy.<\/p>\n

According to preliminary information from the police, a 50-year-old driver of a Mercedes-Benz Vito minibus hit a 33-year-old man who suddenly stepped out onto the road, trying to stop the car.<\/p>\n
