President Volodymyr Zelenskyy assured that the US government shutdown did not affect weapons supplies to Ukraine.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He said this while talking to journalists,<\/span> Ukrinform<\/span> reports<\/span><\/a> .<\/p>\n

“I know what was in the media, that there is a “shutdown”, there are some challenges, they did not block supplies to Ukraine. This is important,” Zelenskyy emphasized.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the same time, the president<\/span> named<\/span><\/a> the most active countries participating in the PURL program, through which Ukraine receives American weapons.<\/span> According to him, these are the Netherlands, Germany, Canada, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThere are very responsible countries here that understand the price of this protection and the price of life in Ukraine in winter,\u201d Zelenskyy noted.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, he stated that Ukraine is discussing another round of contributions with these countries, however, he did not disclose details.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a reminder, the US federal government will officially shut down at midnight on October 1.<\/a> The reason is the failure of attempts to extend funding for the new budget year due to deep disputes between Democrats and Republicans in Congress.<\/p>\n

By the way, several planned meetings of the Ukrainian delegation with representatives of the American authorities have already been disrupted this week<\/a> : US officials were asked to “stay home.”<\/p>\n
