If Kyiv does receive Tomahawk missiles, they will likely be launched from land-based launchers, not ships. However, delivery and deployment will take time.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was announced during a telethon by the spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy, Captain 2nd Rank Dmytro Pletenchuk.<\/p>\n

He emphasized that the system itself has been tested in combat conditions, but modern warfare poses new challenges – the enemy has air defense and electronic warfare capabilities.<\/p>\n

“The system has been tested, but the most realistic option for delivery is ground-based launchers,” Pletenchuk briefly summarized.<\/p>\n

According to him, about two years ago, such launchers returned to service in the form of mobile installations – essentially a ship-based launcher on a wheeled chassis.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the spokesman warned that one should not expect the Tomahawk to arrive soon. Even if solutions are available, platforms, technical integration, and training of specialists are required.<\/p>\n

The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) notes that Vladimir Putin is deliberately sending signals to Donald Trump’s team, trying to disrupt the transfer of long-range Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine.<\/a> According to analysts, the Kremlin is simultaneously threatening to “destroy relations” and devaluing the effectiveness of these weapons, seeking to persuade Washington to make concessions and maintain a secure rear on its territory.<\/p>\n

As reported, during a closed meeting on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly , President Volodymyr Zelensky allegedly asked US President Donald Trump to provide Ukraine with long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles<\/a> .<\/p>\n

Earlier, US Vice President J.D. Vance noted that discussions are ongoing in Washington regarding the possible supply of these high-precision missiles<\/a> , but the final decision remains with the president.<\/p>\n

After that, Moscow said it was “analyzing information” about potential Tomahawk deliveries to Ukraine. At the same time, special representative Keith Kellogg clarified that his words about the possible transfer of missiles were not the official US position<\/a> – he only referred to open statements, and the decision, Kellogg emphasized, can only be made by Donald Trump.<\/p>\n
