The Kremlin is discussing a possible scenario of Russia’s invasion of NATO countries, and Western intelligence already has evidence of such conversations.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated by European Commissioner for Defense Andrius Kubilius in an interview with Wyborcza<\/a> .<\/p>\n

“I trust the intelligence services. And German intelligence claims to have evidence that the Kremlin is discussing an attack on NATO. And if they are discussing it, are they planning an attack? We don’t know. But such signals must be taken deadly seriously. They may indeed be ready for war. We must also be ready for it and learn not only from the experience of the Ukrainians, but also from the Russians,” the European Commissioner emphasized.<\/p>\n

According to him, although the Russian army is “stuck in Ukraine,” this does not stop the Kremlin at all. Kubilius noted that Moscow has adapted to modern warfare, is actively increasing weapons production and is preparing for a protracted confrontation.<\/p>\n

The European Commissioner also emphasized that Ukraine is ready to help allies prepare for a possible invasion, but it is not just about technology.<\/p>\n

“We need to learn flexibility from the Ukrainians. Look at their defense industry – it is based on startups. But they don’t just produce equipment; they observe its use on the battlefield and constantly improve it. Companies that produce drones actually have their own drone battalions. It is impressive how Ukrainians have freed themselves from bureaucracy in the face of a Russian attack,” Kubilius noted.<\/p>\n

He stressed that it is time for the West to act proactively, rather than wait for Russia to make the next move. According to the European Commissioner, the main lesson of the Ukrainian resistance is speed, innovation and flexibility, which Western defense systems lack.<\/p>\n

Recall that Ukrainian specialists are sharing with NATO allies their unique experience in combating Russian drones<\/a> . Their expertise has already been recognized at the level of Denmark and the Alliance leadership.<\/p>\n

As reported, this week in Copenhagen, EU leaders will meet to discuss new defense initiatives. The focus will be on the \u201cdrone wall\u201d project and measures to strengthen the security of Europe\u2019s eastern flank<\/a> . The need for such solutions has increased after numerous violations of NATO airspace by Russian drones and aircraft. <\/p>\n
