Russia is actively forming the psychological and informational basis for a possible future war against NATO.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This conclusion was reached<\/a> by analysts from the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW), noting that the Kremlin has significantly intensified its propaganda activities.<\/p>\n

On October 6, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service spread another unsubstantiated statement \u2014 allegedly the United Kingdom is preparing an attack by pro-Ukrainian Russians on a Ukrainian warship or civilian vessel in one of the ports of Europe. The ISW emphasizes: this is not the first such provocation \u2014 the SVR has previously voiced similar accusations against Poland, Moldova, and Serbia. Experts consider this part of a new systematic campaign to create information pressure.<\/p>\n

According to analysts, Russia is in the so-called zero stage (\u201cPhase 0\u201d) \u2014 the initial stage of preparation for a potential large-scale confrontation with NATO. Since the fall of 2025, the number of hostile provocations has increased, in particular, there have been more and more cases of violations of the airspace of Alliance member countries by Russian drones.<\/p>\n

At the same time, ISW emphasizes that there are currently no signs that the Kremlin has made a final decision to start a new round of war. However, at the same time, there is a gradual deployment of infrastructure: restructuring of military districts in the western direction and an increase in military presence near the border with Finland.<\/p>\n

According to analysts, the Kremlin\u2019s massive information campaign has a clear goal \u2014 to undermine trust in NATO, sow fear among the population of European countries, and force Western governments to reduce or stop aid to Ukraine. Through constant pressure \u2014 both physical and psychological \u2014 Russia seeks to create space for future aggressive actions, in particular, to mobilize domestic support and justify new stages of the war on the external front.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, Europe is increasingly facing provocations, attacks, and information pressure from Russia.<\/a> China is gradually joining this hybrid aggression.<\/p>\n

As reported, the European Union has decided to tighten rules on the movement of Russian diplomats within the Schengen area.<\/a> This was in response to a series of acts of sabotage, which, according to intelligence, were carried out by Russian special services officers acting under the cover of diplomatic status.<\/p>\n
