On Monday, October 6, a drone was spotted over the presidential palace and nearby buildings in Helsinki, where a no-fly zone is in effect.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This<\/span> was reported by<\/span><\/a> Yle.<\/span><\/p>\n

The witness who recorded the drone contacted emergency services. He later spotted two people flying the drone. After speaking with them, they confirmed that they were tourists from Hong Kong.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe police have been notified. The emergency response center has decided to end the mission when it is determined that the drone is no longer flying in the restricted area,\u201d said Helsinki Police Inspector Markus Koskinen.<\/span><\/p>\n

He added that law enforcement officers usually investigate such violations, however, this particular task was carried out in this way.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is worth noting that Finnish President Alexander Stubb stated that he would not give an order to immediately shoot down unknown objects<\/a> that could violate the country’s airspace.<\/p>\n

Recall that earlier in Norway, an unidentified unmanned aerial vehicle was recorded flying over one of the strategic facilities<\/a> – the Equinor gas field located in the North Sea.<\/p>\n

As reported, flights of unidentified drones were recorded in Denmark, Sweden, Lithuania, Norway and Finland<\/a> , some of which flew near military facilities and strategic infrastructure.<\/p>\n
