The Verkhovna Rada failed to vote to expel fugitive and controversial Servant of the People MP Oleksandr Kunitsky from the Law Enforcement Committee.<\/strong><\/p>\n

222 people’s deputies out of the 226 required voted for the corresponding initiative No. 14101.<\/p>\n

The purpose of the document is to ensure the effective operation of the Verkhovna Rada committees during martial law.<\/p>\n

The draft resolution, among other things, proposed recalling Oleksandr Kunitsky, a member of parliament from the Servant of the People faction, from his position as a member of the Committee on Law Enforcement.<\/p>\n

The document also proposed making several more changes to the composition of parliamentary committees.<\/p>\n

As is known, Servant of the People MP Oleksandr Kunitsky, who went on a business trip abroad, has still not returned to Ukraine.<\/a><\/p>\n

In December 2023, it was reported that Servant of the People MP Oleksandr Kunitsky received approval from the Verkhovna Rada in the summer to leave for a short-term business trip of five days, but instead spent almost three weeks abroad.<\/a><\/p>\n

As a reminder, in 2023, it was reported that Artem Dmitruk and Oleksandr Kunitsky, members of parliament from the Servant of the People faction, beat a young man in Kyiv.<\/a> <\/p>\n
