Israel and the Hamas group have reached an agreement on the implementation of the first phase of the peace plan regarding the Gaza Strip.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated by US President Donald Trump, speaking on his own social network Truth Social.<\/p>\n

“I am proud to announce: Israel and Hamas have signed the first phase of our peace initiative,” Trump wrote.<\/p>\n

According to the American leader, one of the key conditions of the agreement is the rapid release of all hostages. In addition, Israel must withdraw its troops to a line agreed upon by the negotiating parties.<\/p>\n

Trump called the agreement “the first step towards a lasting and just peace” and assured that “no side will be left behind” under this plan.<\/p>\n

“This is a significant day for Israel, the Arab and Muslim world, neighboring countries, and, of course, for the United States. We express our gratitude to the mediators from Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey who made this historic agreement possible,” Trump said.<\/p>\n

According to The Times of Israel, the release of live hostages held by Hamas is expected as early as next Saturday.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, US President Donald Trump previously stated that Hamas must agree to his peace plan for Gaza by the evening of October 5, otherwise the group will face “unprecedented consequences.”<\/a><\/p>\n

As previously reported, US President Donald Trump met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Washington, after which he announced a plan for a ceasefire in Gaza.<\/a><\/p>\n
