Russian troops are aiming to create a so-called “dead” strip along the border with Ukraine. The enemy will continue to attack the railways, and the geography of attacks by “shaheeds” may expand deep into Ukraine.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated by an expert in electronic warfare and communication systems, Serhiy “Flash” Beskrestnov, for “Suspilny”. He called for an immediate agreement on a set of protective measures with “Ukrzaliznytsia”.<\/p>\n

According to Beskrestnov, the enemy is already using Chinese radio modems, which allows for remote control of strikes and significantly increasing the depth of the attack. If the “Shaheeds” currently operate at a tactical depth of up to several tens of kilometers, then with the help of new modems they can be controlled from a distance of hundreds of kilometers.<\/p>\n

“Thanks to these Chinese radio modems, the Shahed can turn into a large FPV, and be controlled from the territory of the Russian Federation, and be guided. Of course, it is not so maneuverable, but it can easily be guided to railway rolling stock and locomotives. And this technology even allows it to do this to a depth of 400-500 km,” explains Beskrestnov.<\/p>\n

The specialist emphasizes that protection against Russian attacks should be multi-level. It should include both electronic warfare means and organizational changes in the work of railway workers themselves. For example, train drivers and dispatchers should receive operational information about the movement of reconnaissance and strike drones, as well as have algorithms for actions in case of a threat. For example, have train evacuation routes and temporary shelters.<\/p>\n

“The Russians are turning the nearest zone into 30-40 km, I call it the rear fronts… but this zone will expand. They want to create a completely dead zone along the border of the Russian Federation, where there will be absolutely no life, neither military nor civilian, none. Warehouses, food supplies are being destroyed there. Transport logistics are being destroyed. Roads are being attacked, mobile communication stations are being attacked. They are destroying everything. And as a critical moment – it will be “Ukrzaliznytsia”,” Flash emphasized.<\/p>\n

The expert warned that if comprehensive measures are not implemented in time, Russian attacks could move from local sabotage to larger-scale tactics to disrupt the transport network. This, in turn, would have consequences for supplies and civilian life in border regions.<\/p>\n

Recall that Russian occupation troops attacked Ukrainian railways on the night of September 27.<\/a> This time, infrastructure in the Odessa region was under attack.<\/p>\n
