A suicide drone attack has reportedly taken place in the village of Matveyev Kurgan in Russia’s Rostov region, possibly targeting oil infrastructure. Videos have emerged online showing thick black smoke rising above the settlement.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by Russian media, citing footage from the scene published by users.<\/p>\n

According to the official version, voiced by the regional governor Yuriy Slyusar, Russian air defense allegedly shot down three drones. He also confirmed the damage: the fragments of the drones allegedly damaged the facades of houses and several cars. The authorities have not yet reported any injuries.<\/p>\n

“In the village, the glazing, facades and roofs of several residential buildings, as well as 5 cars, were damaged. Information about the victims is being clarified,” the Rostov governor noted. <\/p>\n

There is currently no official confirmation from Russian authorities of the strike on the oil depot. However, the nature of the smoke and photos from the scene of the incident have led to speculation that the fuel and energy sector facility was hit.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, on the night of October 9 , the Defense Forces struck the Korobkovsky gas processing plant and the Yefimovka linear production control station in the Volgograd region of the Russian Federation.<\/a><\/p>\n

As reported, on Wednesday, October 8, a large-scale fire broke out in the Russian city of Novosibirsk at the “Solder Plant”, which works for the Russian defense industry.<\/a><\/p>\n
