The nighttime strike on Kyiv caused serious damage to critical infrastructure and residential buildings. Parts of the capital were left without electricity and water, and the number of civilian casualties reached 12.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was announced by Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko.<\/p>\n

According to him, 12 people were injured as a result of the enemy attack, 8 of whom were hospitalized, and four more received medical care on an outpatient basis.<\/p>\n

The greatest damage was recorded on the left bank of the capital. Due to strikes on energy facilities, this area was left without electricity and water supply is being disrupted.<\/p>\n

Destruction is also reported in several areas:<\/p>\n

Pechersk district – drone debris hit a high-rise building, where several apartments caught fire. The fire has been extinguished.<\/p>\n

Holosiivskyi district – the facade and windows of a residential building were damaged, several cars in the yard burned down.<\/p>\n

Desnyanskyi district – rocket fragments fell near a polyclinic.<\/p>\n

Podilskyi district – falling debris was recorded in open areas. <\/p>\n

Klitschko noted that emergency services are already working at the sites of the strikes, and energy workers are making efforts to restore power supply as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

“The situation remains complex. All services are involved in overcoming the consequences of the attack,” the mayor stressed.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, on Thursday, October 9, Russian occupiers shelled the Donetsk region, with Sloviansk and Kostyantynivka under attack<\/a> . As a result, one person was killed and 11 more were injured.<\/p>\n

As reported, Russian occupiers in the village of Zhadov, Chernihiv region, repeatedly shelled and damaged the equipment of a unit of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.<\/a><\/p>\n
