After a massive overnight strike, much of Kyiv was left without electricity. Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko assures that restoration work has already begun and the power will be restored soon.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated by the head of government.<\/p>\n

This morning, she held a coordination meeting with key ministries, energy companies, and repair crews.<\/p>\n

Sviridenko noted that immediately after the airstrikes were stopped, damaged critical infrastructure facilities were launched. Services and emergency teams from all regions were involved. According to the prime minister, this Russian strike was one of the largest in terms of concentration – a significant part of the missiles were ballistic, and energy facilities were the targets.<\/p>\n

Regarding water supply, she reported that in Kyiv and Kirovohrad region, water supply is planned to be fully restored by the end of the day. Regarding energy supply, critical infrastructure has already been “restored” and repair work is continuing. The Ministry of Energy promises to provide updated information on the situation within a few hours.<\/p>\n

Svyrydenko also emphasized that in the regions \u2014 in particular Kyiv, Poltava, Kharkiv, and Sumy \u2014 emergency outage schedules are in effect, which will be announced by the Ministry of Energy and Ukrenergo. To ensure uninterrupted operation, backup energy sources \u2014 generators, invincibility points, and additional communications \u2014 have been deployed. In Kyiv and other regions, police patrols on the streets and in transport have been increased.<\/p>\n

The Prime Minister noted that the work started in the morning – at 07:29, and all responsible services are working to restore services to consumers as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, as a result of the night strike on Kyiv, serious damage was recorded to critical infrastructure and residential buildings<\/a> . Part of the capital was left without electricity and water, and the number of civilian casualties reached 12 people.<\/p>\n

As reported, serious power outages were recorded in the capital on the morning of October 10. Due to strikes on critical infrastructure, the left bank of Kyiv was left without power, and the operation of the metro was partially limited.<\/a><\/p>\n
