Nearly 70% of Americans support U.S. military aid to Ukraine and increased sanctions pressure on Russia, according to The Harvard CAPS and Harris Poll. The poll results indicate broad bipartisan support for decisive action, which will in turn influence President Donald Trump\u2019s stance.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> on the air of “Pryamoy” by Oleg Shamshur, a diplomat, former ambassador to the USA and France.<\/p>\n

“Based on the fact that the survey was conducted by a serious and reputable organization, this can be treated with a high level of trust. And this is a pleasant trend. Because recently we observed a completely opposite dynamic, when the number of people who support providing assistance to Ukraine, especially military assistance, decreased. Now we see a different trend. This is important,” Shamshur noted.<\/p>\n

According to him, relevant trends in American society will force Trump and his administration to take more active actions to help Ukraine.<\/p>\n

“Of course, Trump and his administration should take this into account. Trump, as we know, is attentive to public sentiment. And the fact that now the majority on the side of Ukraine in this poll is on the side of the Republicans, this should certainly affect his attitude,” the diplomat added.<\/p>\n
