Mar\u00eda Corina Machado (born October 7, 1967 in Caracas, Venezuela) is a politician, engineer, and one of the leading leaders of the opposition movement in Venezuela.<\/p>\n

In 2002, she co-founded the organization S\u00famate<\/strong> , which monitored elections and encouraged citizens to participate in elections.<\/p>\n

In 2010, Machado became a deputy to the National Assembly of Venezuela and remained in parliament until 2014.<\/p>\n

Politically, she leads the Vente Venezuela<\/strong> party, founded in 2012, and was one of the candidates in the opposition presidential primaries in 2023, where she gained significant support, but was disqualified from running due to a decision by government authorities.<\/p>\n
