Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has accused Ukrainian intelligence of hacking into the personal smartphones of Hungarian citizens through the opposition Tisza party.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This became known<\/a> from Orban’s interview on state radio.<\/p>\n

According to the Hungarian leader, Ukrainian special services are allegedly interfering in the public and political life of Hungary, providing technological support to their partners in this country. Orban said: “Once we said: ‘The Russians are already in the pantry,’ now we must say: ‘The Ukrainians are already in your smartphone.'” He emphasized the categorical intention to prevent such a situation.<\/p>\n

The likely trigger was a publication by the Hungarian publication Index, which claims that the Ukrainian company PettersonApps may have participated in the creation of the party app “Tisa”. According to this investigation, the data of approximately 18 thousand users was “leaked” to the Internet.<\/p>\n

In response, the Tisa party denied that it had involved foreign developers. According to them, the application was developed by Hungarian specialists. At the same time, they confirmed that some of the leaked data did belong to them, but could not explain the origin of the database.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, Hungary has filed a lawsuit with the Court of Justice of the European Union against the Council of the EU over its decision to use frozen Russian assets to finance aid to Ukraine.<\/a><\/p>\n
