The Russian submarine B-261 “Novorossiysk” surfaced near the French coast. According to preliminary data, this could have happened due to a technical malfunction.<\/strong><\/p>\n

B-261 “Novorossiysk” is part of the 4th separate submarine brigade of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. The submarine is equipped with six torpedo tubes and is capable of carrying 18 torpedoes.<\/p>\n

In addition, the boat can launch Kalibr cruise missiles and has up to four such missiles on board.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that the Russian vessel Yantar had been conducting long-term operations to monitor underwater infrastructure in the waters of Great Britain and Northern Europe<\/a> .
