After a date arranged through a dating site, a 22-year-old man from Kyiv beat up a girl and took her money. Police quickly identified him and detained him.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the investigation, a 26-year-old resident of the capital met a man online and agreed to come to his place on a date. During the meeting, a conflict arose between them.<\/p>\n

The attacker pulled out a gun and, threateningly, began to beat the girl on the head and body. After that, he took 500 hryvnias from her and fled.<\/p>\n

Operatives of the Pechersk Police Department, together with criminal analysis analysts, quickly located the attacker. He was detained in the apartment of an acquaintance. <\/p>\n

During the search, the police seized an air pistol. The man himself explained his act by saying that the girl “did not look like the photo from the dating site.”<\/p>\n

Under the procedural guidance of the Pechersk District Prosecutor’s Office, the detainee was informed of suspicion under Part 4 of Article 187 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – robbery combined with violence dangerous to life and health, committed under martial law.<\/p>\n

The court chose a preventive measure for the suspect in the form of detention with the right to post bail. He faces up to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.<\/p>\n
