The first aid package under the PURL initiative, worth $2 billion, is already under implementation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated by Minister of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sybiga,<\/span> RBC-Ukraine<\/span>reports<\/span><\/a> .<\/p>\n

According to him, six countries have so far participated in the initiative. In addition, seven more states want to join it.<\/span><\/p>\n

“As of today, we can talk about the intention of 7 more countries to participate with a specific contribution to this program,” he assured.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sibiga emphasized that a meeting of the Contact Group on Defense Issues of Ukraine in the “Ramstein” format will soon be held, which will be a good platform for discussing supplies.<\/span><\/p>\n

“We are expecting Ramstein. Therefore, it seems to me that these are good platforms where this topic will be discussed and practical results can be expected,” the minister added.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was previously reported that partners contributed $1.5 billion to NATO’s PURL initiative<\/a> , thanks to which Ukraine receives weapons from the United States.<\/p>\n

By the way, in September,the administration of US President Donald Trump approved the first two packages of military aid to Ukraine<\/a> , financed by NATO funds. This is the PURL mechanism, which allows for the rapid supply of weapons from US stocks with funding from allies.<\/p>\n
