{"id":1306853,"date":"2025-10-15T18:28:22","date_gmt":"2025-10-15T15:28:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/prm.ua\/imf-worsens-forecast-for-ukraine-s-debt-burden\/"},"modified":"2025-10-15T18:28:22","modified_gmt":"2025-10-15T15:28:22","slug":"imf-worsens-forecast-for-ukraine-s-debt-burden","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/prm.ua\/en\/imf-worsens-forecast-for-ukraine-s-debt-burden\/","title":{"rendered":"IMF worsens forecast for Ukraine&#8217;s debt burden"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The International Monetary Fund has updated its forecast for Ukraine&#8217;s public debt level, expecting it to reach 108.6% of GDP by the end of 2025 \u2014 slightly less than expected in the April forecast (110%).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> This is reported in the Financial Monitor report, presented by the Director of the IMF&#8217;s Financial Department, Victor Gaspard, during a presentation in Washington, Ukrinform <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukrinform.ua\/rubric-economy\/4047661-mvf-ocikue-zrostanna-derzborgu-ukraini-cogoric-do-1086-vvp.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reports<\/a> .<\/p>\n<p> According to updated estimates, Ukraine&#8217;s debt burden will exceed 100% of GDP for the first time this year, indicating the highest level in the entire history of independence.<\/p>\n<p> In 2026, according to the Fund&#8217;s forecasts, the indicator will continue to grow, reaching 110.4% of GDP.
