At the same time, the issue of providing Ukraine with Tomahawk missiles was not discussed at NATO meetings, as the decision must be made personally by US President Donald Trump.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=IrF9qxcjFYs\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">was reported<\/a> on the air of &#8220;Pryamoye&#8221; by military observer Denys Popovych, who was present at NATO headquarters.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;There was not only a ministerial meeting of the Alliance member states. There was also a meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council, there was a Ramstein meeting. The main thing that needs to be said is the expansion of the pool of European allies that are ready to purchase American weapons for the needs of Ukraine. It was assumed that this could be an expansion to 13 countries, but it turned out that more than half of the Alliance member states, which currently has 32 members, joined. Because we understand that European manufacturers are not able to fully cover the needs and replace American weapons. That is, this program concerns weapons that are produced in the USA and are in the warehouses of the American army. These are Patriot missiles, these are HIMARS, that is, what our European allies are not able or willing to produce in the volumes that the Ukrainian army needs.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;This program is designed for 11 tranches. Four tranches have already been transferred. The cost of each is about $500 million. When these tranches are released, a review is expected, that is, it will continue, since everyone understands perfectly well that there is no readiness to replace American weapons next year,&#8221; Popovich added.<\/p>\n<p> In addition, he commented on the information about the possibility of providing Ukraine with Tomahawk missiles, noting that this issue was not discussed in NATO, in particular within the framework of the PURL program.<\/p>\n\t\t<aside class=\"shortcode-also\" data-title=\"Read also\" data-right>\n\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/en\/tomahawks-for-ukraine-will-this-change-the-situation-on-the-front\/\">\u201cTomahawks\u201d for Ukraine: will this change the situation on the front?<\/a>\n\t<\/aside>\n\n<p> &#8220;This issue should be resolved at the level of the US President. Trump says that if Putin does not go the way of a peace treaty, he is ready to go to such a measure, that is, the transfer of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine. So far, he has not said that he will make such a decision. Trump only said that Zelensky will ask him to transfer the missiles. And whether he will make such a decision &#8211; we will see on Friday,&#8221; noted military observer Denis Popovych.<\/p>\n<p> Previously, &#8220;Pryamiy&#8221; reported that more than half of NATO member states <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/ponad-polovyna-krain-nato-pryiednalysia-do-prohramy-purl-dlia-ozbroiennia-ukrainy\/\">agreed to participate in the PURL program<\/a> , which involves the purchase of American weapons for Ukraine at the expense of European allies.<\/p>\n<p> As a reminder, on October 15, <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/pidpysannia-memorandumiv-ta-zapochatkuvannia-novoi-initsiatyvy-iaki-rezultaty-31-zasidannia-u-formati-ramshtayn\/\">the 31st meeting of the Contact Group on Defense Issues of Ukraine in the \u201cRamstein\u201d format was held in Brussels<\/a> . Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal stated that the meeting remains the most important platform for coordinating international military assistance. In particular, a memorandum was signed on the North-Baltic Initiative to provide Ukraine with training and equipment at the brigade level in Poland.<\/p>\n<p> In addition, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced the launch of a new military support initiative for Ukraine, aimed at increasing the combat capabilities and extending the service life of land systems that Kyiv has received from partners.
