On the night of October 17, residents and tourists in the city of Sochi reported the threat of an air attack \u2014 explosions could be heard over the city, air defenses were in operation, and hotel guests were evacuated to underground shelters.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is reported by Russian Telegram channels.<\/p>\n

The first signals of a possible air attack began to appear after 2 a.m. Sochi Mayor Andrei Proshunin published an appeal at 2:15 a.m. with detailed instructions for residents on what to do in case of danger.<\/p>\n

Videos of air raid sirens and reports of air defense systems operating were shared on social media. Eyewitnesses claim that at least three explosions were heard over the Adler district.<\/p>\n

Closer to dawn, at 4:55 a.m., the city’s mayor confirmed that air defenses were allegedly repelling a missile attack. In an address, he urged residents and tourists not to panic and to stay indoors, especially in coastal areas, if possible, and to stay indoors without windows.<\/p>\n

According to the ASTRA Telegram channel, tourists in a number of hotels were evacuated to basements and underground parking lots.<\/p>\n

At this point, there is no official confirmation of strikes on the city, and no information has been received about destruction or hits.<\/p>\n

Recall, on the night of October 17 , explosions were heard in occupied Donetsk after unknown drones appeared in the air.<\/a><\/p>\n

As reported, on the evening of October 2 , Sochi was massively attacked by drones, just as Russian dictator Vladimir Putin was there<\/a> . The Kremlin leader was speaking at the Valdai Forum.<\/p>\n
