Since the beginning of Friday, October 17, 80 combat clashes have been recorded on the front. The most intense fighting is taking place in the Pokrovsky sector, where Russian troops have made more than two dozen breakthrough attempts.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated<\/a> in the General Staff building at 16:00.<\/p>\n

According to the General Staff, border communities in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions suffered from enemy artillery fire, including Malushino, Kazachye, Gorki, Belaya Bereza, Bobilovka, Guta Studenetskaya, Orlikovka and Klyusy.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Two battles took place in the Severo-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions. The enemy launched six airstrikes, dropped 14 guided bombs, and shelled Ukrainian positions more than 100 times.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In the South Slobozhansky direction, the Defense Forces repelled seven attacks near Vovchansk, Obukhivka, and Kolodezne. Three battles are still ongoing.<\/p>\n

In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy attempted to break through the defenses six times near Peschanoye, Petropavlovka, and in the direction of Kupyansk – one clash continues.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Nine attacks have been recorded in the Limansky direction, in the areas of Grekovka, Karpovka, Torskoye, Shandrigolovoye, and Drobyshevoye. Two battles are ongoing.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

One attack has been repelled in the Slavyansk direction, and three more are ongoing. The enemy did not advance in the Kramatorsk direction today.<\/p>\n

In the Konstantinovsky direction, the occupiers stormed Ukrainian Armed Forces positions near Shcherbinovka, Rusiny Yar, and Berestok seven times\u2014one battle continues.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The fighting remains fiercest in the Pokrovsk sector, where the enemy has attempted 22 times to push back Ukrainian defenders in the areas of Shakhovoye, Nikanorovka, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Novoekonomicheskoye, and Pokrovsk. Ukrainian forces have repelled 20 attacks, and two more battles are ongoing.<\/p>\n

Nine assaults have been repelled in the Aleksandrovsk direction, with four more ongoing. The enemy has not advanced in Gulyai-Polye, but in Orekhovsky, they attempted to advance near Kamenskoye.<\/p>\n

In the Dnieper direction, the infidels tried in vain to approach the positions of Ukrainian troops in the area of the Antonovsky Bridge.<\/p>\n

On other sections of the front, there were no significant changes. <\/p>\n
