An elderly family from Kupyansk, Kharkiv region, was evacuated 28 times by volunteers. After numerous returns home, the people still remained in Kharkiv.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As the head of the public organization “Rose on the Hand” Oleksandr Humanyuk said, this case became a record for volunteers.<\/p>\n

“The record is 28 times. It’s just summer. The elderly family are actually very nice people, but unique and with their own way of thinking. They planted potatoes, dug a garden, and the husband traveled with us all the time. We argued a lot, but then we reconciled and took him,” noted Humanyuk.<\/p>\n

According to him, the volunteers do not know exactly how the family managed to return to Kupyansk each time.<\/p>\n

“They drove there themselves. At that time, there was still communication in Kupyansk, in some places there, and they called and asked to be taken away. It is not known how they returned, but then they called and asked to be picked up,” the volunteer said.<\/p>\n

Usually, such people are put on a “black list” and other humanitarian organizations no longer carry out repeated evacuations.<\/p>\n

“Usually it’s like this: the second or third evacuation, and we put them on the blacklist and don’t take them out anymore. But these kind people turned out and became very friendly with our drivers, helped them, made concessions. They were constantly scolded, but they were constantly taken away,” concluded Humanyuk.<\/p>\n

Let us recall that back in August, it was reported that almost 1,100,000 people in Ukraine needed evacuation<\/a> , of which 84,000 were children and 16,000 were citizens with limited mobility.<\/p>\n
