In the city of Belyaevka in the Odessa region, a 44-year-old colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a 67-year-old woman at a pedestrian crossing, who died instantly from her injuries.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by the publication “Dumskaya” with reference to sources in law enforcement agencies.<\/p>\n

According to information, the Skoda Octavia was driven by a senior officer of the Odessa operational-tactical group, Colonel Dmitry Ishchenko.
At around 9:30 a.m., he was driving along Ataman Golovatogo Street when he lost control and hit a woman crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing.<\/p>\n

The victim’s leg was severed and she died at the scene before the ambulance arrived.<\/p>\n

According to police, the driver was heavily intoxicated \u2013 preliminarily 3.3 ppm.<\/p>\n

The colonel has been detained, and information is being prepared to be entered into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under Part 3 of Article 286-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine\u2014violation of traffic rules while intoxicated, resulting in death.<\/p>\n
