The head of Ukrenergo, Vitaliy Zaychenko, announced that while emergency power outage schedules have been canceled for now, Ukraine still faces the risk of hourly electricity cuts if demand spikes or the power system comes under new attacks.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to Vitaliy Zaychenko, the situation in the power system is gradually stabilizing, and at present, there are no emergency outage schedules in the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince yesterday, only capacity limitation schedules for industry have been applied,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n

Zaichenko added that some facilities remain without power due to damage caused by Russian attacks.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are outages caused by damage to energy facilities, but this is not a scheduled shutdown,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

He reported that power generation is being gradually restored.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur colleagues working in generation are restoring the facilities, and at the moment, quite a few of them are already back online,\u201d said the head of Ukrenergo.<\/p>\n

Zaichenko emphasized that the stability of the energy system largely depends on consumers.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe population is currently the largest consumer of electricity. People can help energy companies by reducing consumption, avoiding turning on high-power appliances simultaneously, and switching off lights where they are not needed,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n

Despite the gradual stabilization, the risk of hourly outages returning remains.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe risk of recurrence is constant because the war is not over. But energy professionals are doing everything possible to prevent such schedules from occurring,\u201d Zaichenko said.<\/p>\n

The head of Ukrenergo assured that the company\u2019s specialists and generating enterprises continue restoration work to ensure a stable supply of heat and electricity for Ukrainians this winter.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are doing everything possible to provide heat and light for all citizens of Ukraine,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n

By the way, today, October 20, some districts of Sumy were left without electricity<\/a>. There is also no water. Also, as of the morning of October 20, there are power outages in several regions due to Russian shelling.<\/a><\/p>\n
