American company SpaceX has launched 28 more Starlink internet satellites into space. The total number of satellites in space now exceeds 10,000.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As Space.com<\/a> reports, the Falcon 9 rocket launched late Sunday, October 19, from a spaceport in California with 28 Starlink satellites on board.<\/p>\n

Among those 28 was the 10,000th Starlink spacecraft ever to reach orbit.<\/p>\n

The mission marks the 132nd Falcon 9 launch this year, tying the record set by the rocket last year, with nearly 2.5 months remaining until the end of 2025.<\/p>\n

Starlink’s first test launch took place in February 2018, with commercial coverage beginning in 2021. Since then, the network has grown into the largest orbital constellation in human history.<\/p>\n

SpaceX has already received permission to launch 12,000 satellites, but Musk plans to launch more than 30,000 devices to provide stable, low-latency internet worldwide.<\/p>\n

Starlink now provides service to millions of customers worldwide, and SpaceX continues to improve the product by sending more and more satellites into space.<\/p>\n

Most of SpaceX’s Starlink satellites remain active. Currently, 8,608 are operational. <\/p>\n
