The Ukrainian Women’s Congress-2025 will be held in Kyiv on October 23. This is the country’s main platform that shapes the agenda in the gender sphere.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This year’s Congress will be held under the slogan “The Courage to Be Yourself” and will be dedicated to the stories of women whose courage changes Ukraine every day.<\/span><\/p>\n

The program includes four discussion platforms:<\/span><\/p>\n

-The courage to be the first – about youth, innovation and technology;<\/span><\/p>\n

-The Courage to Be Visible \u2014 about women in communities and business;<\/span><\/p>\n

-The courage to be in power \u2014 about political participation and leadership;<\/span><\/p>\n

-The courage to be different is about diversity and inclusion.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Congress will also announce the winner of the Mary O’Hagan Award, which is awarded annually by the Ukrainian Women’s Congress. The UWC hinted that this year the award will go to the woman with the warmest call sign in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis year, our Congress will be held under the slogan \u201cThe Courage to Be Yourself\u201d. The winner of our Award is just that \u2014 courageous, and her courage leads others. So don\u2019t miss the broadcast of the Ukrainian Women\u2019s Congress on October 23!\u201d \u2013 noted the co-founder and director of the Congress, Svitlana Voytsekhovska.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe want the stories of brave women to become visible during the Congress. After all, it is these stories that change the country every day, inspire new achievements, and provide role models for young people,\u201d emphasized Maria Ionova, co-founder of the Ukrainian Women’s Congress, People’s Deputy.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe courage to be yourself is the stories of women who live, work, and take responsibility despite the war. It is also the courage to help others be brave,\u201d added the co-founder of the Congress, Vice Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Olena Kondratyuk.<\/span><\/p>\n

The organizers promise secret guests and unexpected performance formats that will be part of this year’s program.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Ukrainian Women’s Congress-2025 will be held in offline and online formats. The live broadcast will be available from 10:00 on Thursday, October 23, on the official website of the Ukrainian Women’s Congress, YouTube channel (in Ukrainian and English), and the Congress’s Facebook page.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Ukrainian Women’s Congress is a unique national platform for promoting equality policies in Ukraine. It was founded in 2017. Thanks to the activities of the Congress in Ukraine, in particular, the ban on 450 \u201cmale\u201d professions for women was lifted, a gender quota in elections was adopted, women gained access to higher military education and permission to hold combat officer positions.<\/span><\/p>\n
