On the night of October 21, a massive drone attack occurred in the Rostov region of Russia, affecting several cities and districts at once.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is reported by Russian Telegram channels and local authorities.<\/p>\n

The most extensive damage was recorded in Bataysk, where about 10 explosions were heard. Eyewitnesses reported smoke in the sky and debris from drones falling near residential buildings. Some of it damaged shops and cars. One of the drones allegedly hit a multi-story building, damaging the facade, breaking windows and destroying the cladding of the upper floors.<\/p>\n

Explosions were also heard in Rostov-on-Don. According to reports, a drone fell on private homes in one of the city’s districts, injuring one person. Another strike was recorded in the village of Nedvigovka, Myasnyk district, where a power line was damaged after the drone fell, leaving the village without electricity.<\/p>\n

In addition, drone flights and explosions were heard in the Millerovsky and Neklinovsky districts. In general, according to the acting governor of the region, Yuriy Slyusar, the attack covered the following districts: Aksaisky, Millerovsky, Chertkovsky, Tselinsky, Kuibyshevsky, Tarasovsky, Oktyabrsky, Myasnykovsky, Martynovsky and Matveyevo-Kurgansky. Among the affected cities are Rostov-on-Don, Bataysk, Taganrog, Novocherkassk, Kamensk and Novoshakhtinsk.<\/p>\n

According to official data, no one was killed in the attack. More than 20 people were evacuated. There were reports of extensive damage to residential and commercial buildings, as well as vehicles.<\/p>\n

The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that air defense systems shot down 34 drones, but some of them still fell in populated areas, causing damage.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, on the night of October 19 , a series of drone attacks hit a number of Russian regions, including the Samara and Orenburg regions.<\/a> As a result of the strike in the Orenburg region, a gas plant caught fire, and in the Samara region, an oil refinery in Novokuybyshevsk came under fire.<\/p>\n

As reported, on the night of October 14 , drones attacked energy infrastructure in the Nizhny Novgorod region of the Russian Federation<\/a> . The Arzamaska substation was probably under attack.<\/p>\n
