The Verkhovna Rada supported the draft resolution with conclusions and proposals for the State Budget for 2026. 239 deputies voted for this decision during the plenary session.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This became known<\/a> from the broadcast of the meeting.<\/p>\n

In the documents, state budget revenues for the next year are planned at UAH 2 trillion 382.65 billion, which is UAH 446.8 billion (approximately +18.8%) higher than in 2025. Expenditures are set at UAH 4.8 trillion \u2014 UAH 415 billion more than in the current budget.<\/p>\n

The Rada Budget Committee proposed to the authorities to make a number of key changes. Among them are an increase in funding for armaments for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, support for the “Alpha” unit of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Foreign Intelligence Service. In the field of education, it is proposed to change the model of remuneration for secondary school labor and, starting from January 1, 2026, gradually increase the remuneration of teachers and scientific and pedagogical workers of higher education institutions by 50%.<\/p>\n

The proposals also include allocating at least UAH 2 billion for humanitarian demining of agricultural lands and UAH 1 billion for compensation to businesses for losses related to the war.<\/p>\n

According to the regulations, the first reading of the budget bill should take place on October 22\u201323, and the consideration should be completed no later than November 18\u201320.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Budget supported the updated version of the state budget for 2025, which provides for a significant increase in spending on the security and defense sector – by 325 billion hryvnias.<\/a><\/p>\n

As noted by People’s Deputy Oleksiy Honcharenko, for the first time the Ukrainian defense sector will receive funding from frozen Russian assets.<\/a><\/p>\n
