Today, October 22, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the State Budget for 2026 in the first reading.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> People’s Deputy from the “Voice” party, Yaroslav Zheleznyak.<\/p>\n

256 people’s deputies voted for the corresponding decision.<\/p>\n

The Government must then work through these “conclusions and proposals,” which have become “budget conclusions,” by November, return them to the Rada, and then vote on the Budget as a whole by mid-November.<\/p>\n

According to the draft, State Budget revenues will amount to UAH 2.4 trillion, which is UAH 446.8 billion (18.8%) more than in 2025. Expenditures will amount to UAH 4.8 trillion, which is UAH 415 billion more than in 2025.<\/p>\n

Defense and security spending is planned at 2.8 trillion, which is 27.2% of GDP (+168.6 billion UAH by 2025).
