It is noted that on October 22, users from the southern regions of Russia began to complain en masse about problems with access to messengers.<\/p>\n<p> Roskomnadzor said the restrictions were introduced based on materials from law enforcement agencies and were ostensibly aimed at combating crime. According to the service, Telegram and WhatsApp are used for fraudulent schemes, extortion, and \u2014 as the agency claims \u2014 for coordinating sabotage and terrorist attacks.<\/p>\n<p> The report also notes that the companies that own the messengers have not fulfilled the Russian side&#8217;s previous demands to take measures to counter such actions.<\/p>\n<p> Recall that <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/pid-kovpakom-kremlia-rosiia-hotuietsia-blokuvaty-whatsapp-i-kontroliuvaty-telegram\/\">Putin instructed the Russian government to develop mechanisms to restrict the use of messengers and software from \u201cunfriendly countries\u201d by September 1, 2025.<\/a> WhatsApp may become the next victim of the ban, and the new Max messenger from VK is turning into a tool of total digital control.<\/p>\n<p> As reported, <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/tsyfrova-okupatsiia-rf-prymusovo-vprovadzhuie-mesendzher-iz-dostupom-do-mikrofona-i-kamery\/\">the Russian occupation authorities plan to oblige residents of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine to install the Max messenger from VK, which is controlled by the Kremlin and the FSB.<\/a><\/p>\n<p> Also follow <strong>\u201cPryamim\u201d<\/strong> on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pryamiy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Facebook<\/a> , <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/prm_ua\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Twitter<\/a> , <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/+rtV4dxYu2_cyNjVi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Telegram<\/a> , and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/pryamiy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Instagram.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Russia has begun to partially restrict the work of the Telegram and WhatsApp messengers.
